Short version: we don't collect anything.

THE LONG VERSION ↓

No accounts. No analytics. No ads. No tracking. Your cellar stays on your phone; your queries don't get stored. Nothing to sell, because there's nothing to collect.

What we collect

Nothing personal. Fork & Cork has no user accounts, no login, and no analytics tracking your behaviour.

  • Your wine cellar is stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, wine details (names, notes, ratings — never photos) sync across your own Apple devices through Apple's iCloud. That sync happens entirely between your devices and Apple — we never see, store, or have access to any of it.
  • Search queries (e.g. "lamb tagine") and bottle photos are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggestions. They are not stored on our servers and not linked to you.
  • Anthropic processes the request and discards it per their privacy policy. We do not retain the raw input.

What we don't do

  • No advertising or ad tracking. No third-party SDKs that fingerprint you.
  • No selling, sharing, or renting of any data — there is no data to sell.
  • No location tracking. No contact-list access.
  • No accounts to delete, because there are no accounts.

Subscriptions

If you upgrade to Pro, the payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your card details, name, or email. To manage subscription state (is this device Pro or not?), the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service that processes your App Store purchase receipt under an anonymous identifier — no name, no email, no personal data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. To cancel, manage subscriptions in your device's App Store settings.

Camera & photo library

Fork & Cork asks for camera access only when you tap to photograph a bottle. The image is resized on your device and sent to Anthropic to identify the wine. We never store the image on our servers. Photo library access is requested only when you choose to import a bottle photo you already took.

Children

Fork & Cork is rated 18+ because of its alcohol focus. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from minors.

Changes

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post a notice in the app's Settings screen. For material changes that affect how data is handled, we'll require you to acknowledge the change.
